We’re making big strides these days – at least within the confines of her comfort zone 🙂 She’s now going up and down the stairs and in and out of the doggie door…with Mya, but she’s doing it. I also got her to go down the outside stairs today (open-backed so challenging).

Day 7 – placed her on stairs, half-way down and she continued. Left her in yard when we went for a walk (she won’t walk with me yet) and she figured out the doggie door on her own 🙂 Found her laying upstairs in her favorite bed with one of my shoes…Also indicates that she went up the flight of stairs on her own. She still hasn’t figured out that the stairs to the bedroom are the same so she hasn’t tried them yet, but she’s very excited when we all come down in the mornings.

Day 8 – making her endure my touch more and more. She’s still not happy about it (as you can see) but she’s at least not cowering any more. She’s the typical street dog – smart as a whip, a great puzzle solver and very good at watching and figuring stuff out. She actually watches a lot….like on the outside stairs, she sat up at the top and watched as the dogs went up and down, then the cat went down and she tried a step, then I sat on one of the steps about 1/4 way up and a minute later she was down on the same step….not afraid of trial and error 🙂
